Kendra joined the Career Center in January 2016 as a Graduate Intern through her Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. She officially joined the staff in November 2016 as a full-time Career Counselor working with: Math, Physics, Quantitative Science, and Engineering students. She received a BS in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from Alabama A&M University in 2010. Prior to joining Emory, she worked in the nonprofit sector as both a Philanthropic Strategist at YouthNique Nonprofit Management Company, and Program Director with Passion for Life, Inc. As a Philanthropic Strategist she had the opportunity to work with emerging nonprofits from incorporation to evaluation, and existing nonprofits adjusting to present needs of their communities and society. While serving as the Program Director, she had the opportunity to assist high school students with identifying their passion(s), and creating a plan to achieve their goals. Kendra is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the National Career Development Association (NCDA). In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, riding ATV’s, listening to music, and binge watching Netflix.
