Career Ambassador Program
As an Emory Career Ambassador, you have the opportunity to be a vital part of the overall Recruitment and Career Development process. The Career Center relies a great deal on student volunteers to help in the development and maintenance of strong relationships with company recruiters. Your primary responsibility is to encourage exploration of career options and professional development among current Emory students while maintaining beneficial relationships with outside organizations.
Career Ambassadors will assist visiting employers and organizations, and Career Center staff with the following:
- Hosting employer information sessions
- Hosting graduate program information sessions
- Staffing Career Center programs and events
- Market and promote events
- Career Ambassadors will advocate for The Career Center within the Emory community to promote our services
Career Ambassadors must attend a mandatory team building and training session prior to their assigned semester. Training involves an understanding of The Career Center and the Ambassador role. Ambassadors will be expected to complete a Training Checklist to become more familiar and integrated with Career Center services. Ongoing training and professional development will also be conducted at bi-weekly meetings throughout the semester.
Ambassadors must commit to the full semester in the program. You will be given the opportunity to continue on to the following semesters if this is desired and performance has been satisfactory. Given satisfactory performance, there is room for growth and leadership opportunity within the ambassador program.
