Hire US: Connecting a Diverse Workforce with Inclusive Employers
Tuesday, September 5, 7:00-8:30pm in the Cox Hall Ballroom. Employer registration will open in June 2017 on Handshake.
Hire US is an event designed to connect students who have historically faced under representation and/or discrimination in work environments and hiring processes with employers committed to building and supporting a diverse and inclusive workforce. During this event, employers will be invited to connect directly with students of particular populations (students of color, LGBTQ, disability status, women, religious groups, etc). Employers will select the student populations in which they would like to connect on the registration form. Please note all employers who register must abide by Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws and be open to hiring all students. However, this event is designed to help employers increase hiring in areas where the business sees opportunity to better increase diverse representation in a specific area of their workforce.
This event is sponsored by the Emory Career Center, Office of Accessibility Services and departments of the Belonging & Community Justice area of the Center for the Advancement of Student Agency and Advocacy: Center for Women; Office of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender Life; and Office of Multicultural Programs & Services.
